How we view ourselves is one of the most important keys to whether we end up feeling we have either been a success in our lives, or a failure. This view is not the end result, but the seedling, the beginning of how we approach the potential with which we are born or otherwise graced.
We are all born with great potential and are capable of doing almost anything the world shows us. Granted, we are each gifted differently, and so we will excel in some areas, and flounder in others.
It is our expectation that either fuels the fire that stirs the passions within us, or it is our own expectation that douses every flame that tries to spring to life.
If we sincerely believe that we will fail at the things we wish to attempt, then we probably will. Or we will mangle things so badly that we ultimately succumb to self, or other, sabotage that we are certain has been lurking around every corner all along.
But, if we sincerely believe that we will succeed at something, we will pour all that we have into getting that thing accomplished.
We can follow the path of our positive or negative expectations. They are all lying there inside. We have but to choose.
And once we have chosen, and commit ourselves to “it,” we can either live up to or down to our expectations of ourselves.
You choose your path.
You choose your success!
