Resilience is all about being able to overcome
Sustainability is about survival.
The goal of resilience is to thrive.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
1. Do I miss out on opportunities because of my fear?
2. How do I purposely and purposefully prepare for the inevitable challenges in my life?
3. What can I do, now, to be calm when challenges arise?
Life contains plenty of challenges, but we are able to anticipate most of these challenges thoughtfully. We can choose able to remain calm and resilient, which helps to inoculate us from the effects of life’s external pressures.
Through proper preparation, we can remain ready – and eager – for almost any adventure.
By putting ourselves “out there” into life’s journey, we can experience beauty and wonder in ways that are not possible staying within our tidy comfort zones. The success or failure of our life journey depends on far more than how we prepare for our excursion through life than on the circumstances themselves.
Stop shying away from challenges simply because they have the potential to stretch or stress you temporarily. Instead, plan ahead, knowing that you can handle anything with adequate preparation.
Situations may be hard periodically, but we can remain composed and tuck our heads a bit as we march into the wind. Doing so will not always be pleasant, but because you feel fully prepared, you will be able to deal effectively and calmly with any challenge that comes your way.
